Student Event Team Application (RLTs)

The purpose of Regional Leadership Teams (RLTs) is to advance the mission and vision of the Association by creating meaningful member engagement opportunities focused on fostering connections, strengthening the NACA community throughout the year, working as a team to execute outreach/activity that encourages continual learning, bring members together, collaborate with Association staff to offer programs, and introduce NACA to new campuses/artists.

Students (graduate or undergraduate) may serve on the Student Event Team.

Student Conference Team Application (Conference Teams)

NACA Conference Teams will assist the Association with NACA Conferences by creating networking, hospitality, and educational opportunities for members, enhancing membership growth and engagement, cultivating a space for conducting business, and serving as brand and program ambassadors to the membership. Students (graduate or undergraduate) may serve as general members on the Hospitality or Education Team. 

 

Student Stage Crew Application

Want to gain knowledge in live event management through real-life experience working on a multi-layered event? Volunteer for the stage crew at a NACA conference for a hands-on production experience. 

Stage crew members receive complimentary lodging and meals, as well as a certificate of completion after the event. Lodging will be shared with up to one other volunteer.

Students must be 18 years or older to volunteer for stage crew.

Students will participate in and gain knowledge in:

  • Load in/out logistics
  • Concert logistic management
  • Technical equipment set up and tear down experience
  • Coordination with a professional production team

Requirements/Expectations

  • Must be 18 years or older to volunteer for stage crew.

  • Must be a student from a NACA member institution.

  • Must have approval from and support of their institution prior to appointment to the position

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and be on their feet for long periods of time

  • Attend event from Thursday to Sunday.

    • Thursday is set for training and Sunday will be return travel. 

    • As a reminder, NACA covers lodging and food/drink for stage crew members.

    • Stage crew volunteers are provided shared lodging with up to one other volunteer.

  • Dress Code: Stage crew will be provided with hoodies for the event. Dark clothing is recommended and closed toes shoes are required.

    • All Exhibitors, Showcasing Acts, and School Members MUST remain fully clothed in any conference space.

The Stage Crew team member is a volunteer position but requires extensive time with setting up each sound check and showcase. Throughout the conference, the Showcase Production Coordinator will review the schedule and if there is time off, they will let you know so you can experience some parts of the conference with your institution.

Additional Student Roles (Scholarship Selection, Awards Committee)

  • Members of the Scholarship Selection Committee will assist with the NACA Foundation scholarship application review process. General members will serve a 1-year term.
    • Applications are open on a rolling basis.
  • Members of the Awards Committee will participate in the anonymous nomination review process for NACA's Achievement Awards. General members will serve on this committee for one month.
    • Applications open September 1 and close October 1.
