Update: NACA Live & Super Bowl Parade

Wednesday, Feb. 12 Update

We are excited to welcome you to NACA Live in Philadelphia! Philly has announced plans for their Super Bowl LIX victory parade to be held on Friday, Feb. 14.

NACA Live's Friday activities will continue as scheduled. While there is going to be a lot of activity in the city that morning and early afternoon, the celebrations are anticipated to conclude around 3 p.m. More than 1 million people are expected to be in the city for the celebration, so prepare accordingly and allow yourself extra time for travel into and around the city.

Parade Information

The parade will officially begin at 11 a.m. ET at Pattison Avenue & Broad Street, work up Board Street to the western side of City Hall, and then go up 15th Street to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway ending at the Philadelphia Museum of Art by 12:30 or 1 p.m. Then ceremonies at the Museum of Art are expected to end around 3 p.m. Here's a link to the parade route map.

  • The parade route will not come by the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
  • There should not be any parade hinderance to the loading dock, except for potential increase in pedestrian foot traffic.
  • The art museum is approximately 1.5 miles away from the convention center.

Travel Considerations

  • Review public transportation & parking options
    • SEPTA (Regional rail and rail transit) has advised there will be free rides on the Market-Frankford Line and Broad Street Line. The airport line is separate from these but will be heavily used by residents that live along this line, along with individuals getting on and off at 30th Street.
    • Both lines will be working with extra trains, but will be operating with limited stops which will make 30th Street very busy.
  • If you're driving in on Friday, consider arriving during the parade hours (11am-1pm) or well after the festivities have ended, as this may be the time with the least amount of traffic on roads.
    • Use I-95 and 676 to get to the Convention Center and Marriott.
    • Avoid local streets in center city as they expect heavy traffic all morning.
  • Philadephia PD will be providing information to all rideshare companies about street closures and best used pathways for directional purposes to help those who are using rideshare services.

Additional Preparation

  • Make dining reservations for Thursday and Friday.
  • Cell phone services may be impacted by the amount of people in the city.
    • Establish advance meet up locations and times in the event your cell service is disrupted.
    • Utilize your hotel or convention center WIFI to stay connected.
  • Consider signing up for ReadyPhiladelphia Alert and Warning program
    • Text READYEAGLES (one word/no space) to 888777 to receive free text alerts on transit, safety, and weather from the city.

Resources

The city and a few local news outlets have put together travel resources, road closures, parking restrictions, and other information about the events.
